And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: and both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus says unto him, "They have no wine." Jesus says unto her, "Woman, what have I to do with you? mine hour is not yet come". His mother says unto the servants, "Whatsoever he says unto you, do it." And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of Jews, containing two or three firkins a piece. Jesus says unto them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim. And he says unto "Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast". And they bare it. When the ruler of feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not where it came from: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and says unto him, "Every man at the beginning do set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine unto now."
Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved he says unto his mother, "Woman behold your son!" Then says he to the disciple, "Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
And when the day of Pentecost fully came, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there was dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and was confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What means this? Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine".
No man also having drunk old wine straightway desires new: for he says, "The old is better".
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runs out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
Now, therefore, the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and says to the men, "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" Then they went out of the city and came unto him. In the meanwhile his disciples prayed him, saying, "Master, eat". But he said unto them, "I have meat to eat that you know not of". Therefore said the disciples one to another, "Has any man brought him ought to eat?" Jesus says unto them, "My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." Say not you, "There are yet four months, and then comes harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reaps receives wages, and gather fruit unto life eternal: that both he that sows and he that reap may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One sow and another reap. I sent you to reap that whereon you bestowed no labor: other men labored, and you are entered into their labors.
John answered, saying unto them all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I comes, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor and will gather the wheat into his garner, but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

There was truly a marriage going on, the Lamb and His Church. The Marriage of the Lamb needed wine, the old wine was served, and here comes the new wine at Pentecost an agricultural festival marking the beginning of the wheat harvest. It was celebrated 50 days after the Passover and was marked by pilgrims coming to Jerusalem from all over the world to celebrate the event. The Holy Ghost was given with fire which is the new wine.
