So he departed there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yokes of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?
And another also said, Lord, I will follow you; but let me first go bid them farewell, which is at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knows right well. My substance was not hidden from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Elijah, knew that he was not God to tell Elisha to not go back to kiss his father and mother, goodbye..but Jesus, is God, the Creator, the Lord of Glory, forsake all and follow him, not looking back, for all that is back there is all about God, not man. God created you. You were created by God in the lowest parts of the earth which is the womb of a woman, God called you by your name, you are His..the commandment came to honor your mother and father: Why do you do this? because you love God and keep His commandments, as you were a child, you understood as a child and you thought like a child, children obey your parents in the Lord, which is right..but when you became an adult, you put away those childish things, pick up your cross and follow Christ, for you must forsake everything you think you know and follow your Creator, God.
